The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), founded in 1951, is a multi-disciplinary and national key university with economics, management, law and literature as its core academic areas of expertise. To meet the increasing demand for U.S. university-level study experience, starting 2015, UIBE School of International Education will hold two Short-Term Academic Programs
The 2015 SIE Short-Term Academic Programs of UIBE will open two sessions from June to July, offering courses in Accounting, Art History, Economics, English, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. To build an international, innovative and open learning experience, the SIE Short-Term Academic Programs of UIBE will invite professors from prestigious universities all around the world, including Harvard University, Columbia University and many other top universities.
Besides UIBE undergraduate students, UIBE SIE Short-Term Academic Programs also open to domestic and foreign high school students, undergraduate students, and graduate students. Each class has an enrollment limit of 60 students. The classes are conducted by a combination of in-class lectures, research projects and case discussions. Students are also expected to participate in internships and field studies. Student grades are determined based on UIBE’s relevant academic regulations and rules.
UIBE registrar office is responsible for issuing official student transcript awarding four credits for each course. Each course bears 64 instruction hours (equivalent to 48 hours) and every student is allowed to register for a maximum of three courses.
